West Wales DAB

Enhancing digital radio coverage in North Pembrokeshire

About West Wales DAB

A new DAB service has been launched in West Wales, enhancing digital radio coverage in North Pembrokeshire. This SSDAB multiplex aims to improve the availability of high-quality digital radio broadcasts in an area previously characterised by inconsistent reception. The new service expands the existing DAB network, providing residents with access to a diverse range of stations.

The roll-out initially will be supported by transmitters at Brawdy and Arnolds Hill. These transmitters are strategically positioned to enhance the digital radio coverage in the region.

Brawdy Transmitter: Located near Solva, Brawdy is expected to provide comprehensive coverage for central and northern parts of Pembrokeshire. Its elevated position helps deliver a strong signal across the area, reducing potential reception issues.

Arnolds Hill Transmitter: Situated in the south of the region, Arnolds Hill will focus on improving coverage in the eastern sections of North Pembrokeshire. This transmitter is crucial for extending the range and ensuring that even more remote areas receive a stable DAB signal.

Together, these transmitters will enhance the availability and reliability of digital radio services, offering a broader range of stations and better audio quality to residents throughout North Pembrokeshire.
